In order to better define the development requirements of Aqsis, we've setup a user survey. Only a handful of questions to give us a good idea of what the users need from Aqsis.

This survey is essential in defining what direction Aqsis takes, and to ensure that what we, the developers, implement matches what the users need.

Aqsis User Survey

The survey closes on Friday 27th of October (2006) !!!

After two weeks of work, the Regression Test Suite (RTS), is finally showing no failures on Windows, Linux and MacOSX. Thanks to the wonderful pdiff by Hector Yee, we can now run the RTS on different platforms with the same reference set, without getting lots of false negatives due to runtime library and architecture differences.

It is imperative that this status is maintained to ensure the ongoing stability and reliability of Aqsis. For that reason I urge all developers to get the RTS running, and perform periodic tests during development, but most importantly, before committting anything. From this point forward, any commits that cause a regression will be reverted.

Due to a recent lack of interest in the challenges, we have taken the decision to temporarily postpone future challenges until further notice.

We have identified a number of possible reasons for the lack of interest, amongst them, the nature of the web marketing efforts on our part, and the lack of usable tools.
