Next Limit have now released RenderKit... a toolset allowing direct rendering of RealFlow particle simulations to both MentalRay and RenderMan-compliant renderers.
Aqsis 1.4 was used during our testing phase with the RF team, meaning everything should work out-of-the-box.

Aqsis Forum Now Online!
Happy new year, happy new look!
Welcome to the new-look Aqsis site, which we hope you'll find a more pleasant experience.
As you may notice we're still working on a few things including:
Preparing the forum (due soon)- Getting the all-new gallery up-and-running (little longer)
- Various visual tweaks (on-going)
... but other than that the site is fully functional.
Note: The user profile page has changed a little so it's recommended all users log-in and make any necessary amendments. RSS feeds have also changed as have all URLs, both of which now follow a simpler 'Human-readable' format.
Merry Xmas Everyone!
Just a short message wishing everyone within the Aqsis community a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year!
Your continued support and interest is invaluable and greatly appreciated... it's not just developers who shape Aqsis. ;-)
Depth Mapped Occlusion Animation
Eric Back, the author of the MOSAIC plugin for Blender, has created a stunning example of the interoperation of Blender and Aqsis via MOSAIC. He's produced a fantastic animation showing depth mapped occlusion to great effect.
